Bright Light Solutions GmbH is a Start-Up company, which is developing innovative and energy-efficient LED-luminairs running under the ruling of the company TCS Oberreuther AG.
Based on our substantial knowledge and expertise in the field of optics, mechanical engineering and electronics we are developing LED-luminairs for offices, storage houses, green houses and animal sheds.

Bright Light Solutions® GmbH developed a linear LED-Luminaire employing High-Power LEDs for the replacement of conventional illumination engineering. The product presented here is suited especially as an alternative to lumiaires based on fluorescence lamps.
Since design features as well as the necessity for mechanical robustness in industrial applications have been addressed in this product, a diverse spectrum of applications are suited. This spectrum covers design applications for office and museum illumination up to illumination applicatios in industry and agriculture (e.g. green houses). The cost-effectness is discussed in detail in the technical information sheet. For comparison an area of 2000m² at an illuminance intensity level of 300 Lux is regarded (duty cycle per: 13h).
In this data sheet we compare the BLS-LED-luminaire presented here (Typ B in technical information sheet) with a conventional luminair based on a T8-fluorescence luminant. This practical case study results in cost-savings of 63.000€ within 10 years. Anortisation of higher investment costs is acieved after 2.5 years. Further key-features of the BLS-LED-luminaire are summarised in the technical data sheet provided below.

Illumination in Agriculture
In line with the new construction of a Bio-outdoor-poultry farming-shed (Entrepreneur: Mr. Werner Schwarz in Oberwahrberg (Kallmünz, Germany) a LED-luminaire with an integrated intelligent driving system was developed.
Please be referred to the article in the journal DGS ("Das Magazn für Geflügelwirtschaft und Schweineproduktion") published in the issue of February 2011. In this case the luminaires were developed with three colour channels (ultra white, red and blue).

The controling system of the illumination was specially developed and is based on Powerline. This method of communication does not require a separate cable or new set-up of wires. Solely one electronic circuit for all luminaires is needed. Each luminaire has its own IP-address, as this is is the case in a PC-network.
From a central controller unit the communication is transferred to the luminaires via the mains cable (phase + neutral line). Thereby the supply voltage is modulated with a signal (superposition with a control signal), which is decoded by the intellegent electronic of the luminaire. Accordingly to illumination systems which are wide spread in industry (e.g. Dali), various illumination scenarios are defined. Those illuminations szenarios are assigned to certain sections of the day. Within each illumination szenario the light colours can be defined individually as well as the dimming of each colour channel.
Due to the infinitely variable dimming no separation is needed between luminaires for main or night-light. Dimming is possibe down to 4% of the nominal current. The LED-driving was developed such that even at dimming the same high energy efficiency is obtained (PVM-dimming). Flickering is neither recognizible for poultry nor human beings since a driving frequency is 200Hz. The robust design of the luminaire resists agressive acids of animal excrements as well as high water-jet of the high-pressure cleaning along the shed cleaning (IP67). The life-time of the luminaire is given by 20 years upon a 12hour daily usage, without the necessity to change the illuminant. In contrast to fluorescence and energy saving bulbs, this LED-luminaire is free of quicksilver. Since LEDs only 40% of the consumed electrical energy is converted to heat - in contrast to 99% by incandescent luminants - heat radiation is strongly minimized by LED-luminairs.
LED-luminaires also provide high efficiancies at temperature lower than 20°C. In contrast, fluorescence lamps severely loose efficiency at lower temperatures.
